| The West Dover Congregational Church
is a Vermont UCC church that was built in 1858. Just three miles
from Mount Snow Resort, the church shares a minister with the
nearby Wilmington Congregational Church.
Sunday Service is 9:00 am, followed by coffee
hour and frequently Bible Study. The Sunday School is active
during the school year, and we celebrate communion on the first
Sunday of the month.
We recently called the Reverend Emily C. Heath
to lead us. Our church membership is small but active, with a
lively ladies fund raising group (Loose Knit Group), Trustees,
Deacons and several committees. We are governed by a church
council, and hold our annual meeting in January. Quarterly we have
congregation meetings, and special events include an Attic Sale on the
Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend, a Bake Sale on the Saturday of
Columbus Day Weekend, and a Christmas Pageant. Additional services
are held on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and on Christmas
Eve.
We host overnight youth groups in our Activity
Center complete with cots, a full kitchen, shower and 52"
widescreen TV.
We are an active and giving congregation led by a
caring minister with a sense of service to the community.
